It does what it says on the tin. The Forge Fathers’ Iron Ancestor model is essentially to them what a Dreadnaught is to Space Marines. Perhaps not lore-wise, but for all essential purposes it operates in the same way. It looks awesome though. It’s like a techno-dwarf robot, and if you suggested to me last year that I’d be wowed by something like that, I’d have laughed in your face. Laughed heartily.
Look at that twin cannon of destruction though. I bet that does some pretty badass damage right there… and that massive heat hammer. Okay, I’m sorry, there’s not really much of a point to this post other than to go on and on about how much I love the look of the Forge Fathers army. I still haven’t glued mine together actually, and that is something that leaves me feeling nothing but shame.
Additionally, as I’m away this week (and my good friend is posting this on my behalf) I should take this opportunity to study the rules a bit better. I may even be visiting Warhammer World this week, but I don’t know for sure. We’ll see. We’ll see.
For the mean time let us meditate on the awesomeness that is the Iron Ancestor. You know they’re going to have bikes soon right? Space dwarves on bikes. I’m just saying.
